About MattressPriceCheck

Mattress shopping in the UK is unusually hard to compare. The same mattress appears under different names, firmness is graded differently by every brand, and almost everything is permanently "on sale". We built this site to make the comparison boring and clear.

What we do

We keep one page per mattress. On that page you get every size we hold, and for each size every retailer price we hold, cheapest first. We also record the manufacturer's own firmness wording separately from our own normalised firmness rating, so mattresses from different brands can genuinely be compared.

Where we are right now

The site is in build. Every price, rating, delivery detail and retailer link you can see is example data used for testing, clearly labelled as such on every page it appears. No retailer has supplied us with prices yet, and pages showing example data are excluded from search engines.

How we will make money

Through affiliate links: if you buy after following a link from here, the retailer may pay us a commission. That will never change the order of results. Ordering is by price, rating or name — whichever you have chosen — and nothing else. Read the full disclosure.

What we will not do

• We will not accept payment for a higher position in a comparison.
• We will not invent reviews, ratings or awards.
• We will not claim to have tested a mattress we have not tested.
• We will not present a discount as bigger than it is.

Independence

We are not owned by a mattress brand or a retailer, and no brand has editorial input. Specifications are taken from published product information; where a brand and a retailer disagree, we say so rather than picking one quietly.
